Managers are coached on “the leader as a teacher” to effectively prepare them to assist with teaching and training.

Managing in a Unionized Environment

The presence of a union between management and one or more groups of employees often increases conflict, garbles communication, and complicates decision-making. Managers and Supervisors must understand and consistently administer all contract provisions while sometimes also managing non-union staff within the same or neighboring departments.
